Creating a pdf and combining it with different files can be tedious. If you feel there is a clutter of multiple PDFs that can be stored as a single piece of information if tied as a one file, don’t worry Bluebeam Revu can get you covered. You can merge or combine PDF files in Bluebeam Revu. There are a few different ways you can do this. The straightforward way to this is simply selecting and combining your desired PDFs.

Step-by-Step Process to Combine PDF Files in Bluebeam Revu

Let’s go through the step-by-step process to understand how to do this:

Step 1 – Go to the “File” menu and click “Combine”.

Step 2 – From here you can add the files you want to combine.

Step 3 – You can add your files and set different options to Include Bookmarks, Use Filename as Page Label, Include File Attachments, Merge Document Properties, and/or Merge Layers. Click “OK” and the document is created.

You can see your document named as “Document1” by default and your individual drawings in the Thumbnails panel.

You can also use window explorer to convert and combine files with “Bluebeam Stapler” application. Go into Windows Explorer and select the first file, which is a Word document. Hold down the “CTRL” key so you can make multiple selections for the second file, which is an Excel spreadsheet and the third file which is already a PDF. Right-click and then select “Combine Files in Revu”.

It will open the “Bluebeam Stapler”, an add-on utility that comes with all Revu Packages to helps you convert and combine files. You can also open the Stapler from the “Combine Files” in Revu shortcut.

From the Stapler dialogue box, you can “add files”, “rearrange files”, select the “output”, and select the “name” of the combined file.

Any file that isn’t a PDF will be converted first and then all files will be combined. In our case, save it as one output file and name it “Test Combination”. Click “OK”, then review the order of the files, once satisfied, click “Staple”.

Wait for the files Conversion and Combination to complete.

Now that you have the files combined, open the “Thumbnails” panel so you can see all the pages.
