Tip: To reduce eyestrain, you can set a dark or light theme for dull or bright room lighting conditions. Similarly, dark colours are better for high-contrast monitors, while light colours are better for low-contrast monitors.

Tab Truncation

The Tab Truncation option determines how file names appear in document tabs (shortened document titles on opening multiple tabs).

You have 2 options to choose from in the drop-down menu.

  • Start – Shortens the tab name from the beginning of the file name.
  • End – Shortens the tab name from the end of the file name.

For instance, in the example below. The file variations are not visible as they exist at the end of the titles, “Brighter Graphics - Floor Plan X,” where X = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8.

The tab names are Truncated or shortened from the “End”, hence not reflecting the title variations.
