Please take some time in reviewing these more common FAQs:

  • There are many reasons you may want to change the ownership of a Studio Session, such as if the current owner is about to leave the company.

To change the ownership of a Studio Session, you must first go to the Bluebeam Studio Portal and sign in. A link to the Bluebeam Studio Portal will be available in the description of the video.

Then, on the ‘My Sessions’ section, click on the Session that you wish to change the ownership of, and go to the ‘Reassign Ownership’ tab. Now, input the email of the person you want to take over ownership of the Studio Session, and click ‘Apply’.

It should be noted that you must be the owner of a Session, in order to transfer its ownership to another user.

  • If you have annual maintenance, you can go to Bluebeam’s Upgrade Revu webpage. Here, you can search for your license by inputting your Serial Number, Product Key and your registered email. If your license meets the upgrade criteria, confirm your upgrade. At which point, a new license will be sent to your registered email.

If you do not have annual maintenance, you will need to pay for an upgrade. Adding maintenance is approximately a third of the price of buying an Upgrade, so it is highly recommended if you wish to utilise Revu long-term. Alternatively, when you are paying for an upgrade, you can add maintenance, which makes upgrading free within the next 12 months.

  • In order to transfer your license from one computer to another, you must, first, make sure that Revu is closed and you have connection to the internet. Then, go to the Bluebeam Administrator, which can be accessed by clicking or pressing the ‘Start’ button, and typing ‘Bluebeam Administrator’ into the search bar. On the ‘Tools’ menu, click on ‘Unregister’, then ‘OK’.

The next step is to uninstall Revu from your computer from the Control Panel, which can be accessed by pressing or clicking ‘Start’ and typing ‘control panel’ into the search bar. Once you are on the Control Panel, click on ‘Uninstall a Program’, select and right-click Bluebeam Revu, and then click ‘Uninstall’.

The next step is to download and install Revu onto the new computer. To do this, follow the download link you received with the License Certificate, or alternatively you can go to Bluebeam’s Updates and Installation page.

Once Revu is installed on your new computer, you will be prompted to enter your Serial Number and Product Key. Complete the online or manual authorization process to authorize the software on the new computer.

  • Bluebeam’s License Lookup webpage allows users to check what computers they have installed Revu on. Input your Serial Number, Product Number and registered email, then click ‘Get List’. You will then be taken to a webpage where you will find your license information, customer information, customer contact details, reseller contact details, and what computer you have Revu installed on.

If a PC has had a hard disk failure or similar breakage, let us know the Serial Number of the license and the computer name. We can unregister that PC off your license, allowing you to register another installation.

  • If you’re struggling with the size of your PDF file, whether it be because it is too large too email or you have limited memory space to work with, you can use the ‘Reduce File Size’ function.

To do this, click on the ‘Processes’ button, under the ‘Document’tab along the command bar, and then click ‘Reduce File Size’.

Once you do this, a new window will pop-up, presenting you with options for the size you wish to reduce the file to.

The default and recommended file reduction setting maintains a balanced image retention and file size. This setting can be adjusted to prioritise quality over compression, or vice versa.

More advanced options are available if you press the ‘Edit…’ button.

Once you have decided upon your favoured file reduction settings, press ‘Ok’. This will open another window where you can save the new, compressed document to your preferred destination
